ClientBuild Advisory was founded by Hayden Pirie.

After 25 in construction, on both the trade side and as a project manager, Hayden saw too many homeowners signing contracts they did not fully understand, paying for variations they did not need, and discovering problems on site that should have been caught months earlier.

ClientBuild Advisory exists to put a qualified, independent set of eyes on the homeowner side of the project. We do not subcontract any building work. We do not take commissions from builders or suppliers. We do not have a stake in any builder finishing your job. Our only commercial relationship is with you.

Hayden also runs CDM Limited (cdmlimited.co.nz), a commercial construction business serving SME and corporate clients. CDM and ClientBuild Advisory operate in different markets: CDM never works on residential, and ClientBuild Advisory only ever works for the residential homeowner, never for builders. The two businesses do not compete or share commercial interests in any project, which protects the independence of the advice we give.

We work mainly in the Waikato, Auckland, and Bay of Plenty regions, with occasional projects further afield for remote and overseas owners.
